CUSTOM WORKHOLDING SOLUTIONS BY
THE FULL GRIP
From non-standard mounting patterns to fully bespoke components, all custom workholding is engineered for strength, accuracy, and seamless integration with your setup — whether on a 3-axis vertical mill or a multi-axis machine with pallet automation.
WHAT WE CAN CUSTOMISE
We can design and manufacture almost any custom workholding component, whether you need something for a single project or a long-term production setup.
- Custom Tombstones: Multi-sided fixturing blocks designed for complex 4-axis and 5-axis jobs.
- Custom L Plates: Precision-ground plates for vertical or angled clamping applications.
- Custom Combo Plates: Hybrid grid systems (52 mm + 96 mm) for flexible workholding setups.
- Custom Risers and Bases: Elevate your fixtures or vices to optimise clearance and tool access.
- Custom Zero Point Plates: Round, square, or rectangular plates machined to your specific size and hole pattern.
- Specialised Fixtures and Adapters: Designed for your part geometry, spindle configuration, or automation system.
Every custom order is engineered to integrate seamlessly with our zero point systems, self-centering vices, and modular workholding accessories – giving you the same reliability and repeatability across your entire setup.

Custom Project Overview
The customer was commissioning a new 5-axis machining centre and wanted the correct workholding solution in place from the outset. Standard zero-point plates did not suit the machine’s table size or mounting configuration, so we engineered a custom dual zero-point plate to maximise usable workspace and match the machine interface precisely.
This configuration provides extensive flexibility, allowing multiple workholding setups including dual side-by-side vices, a single central vice, 3-jaw chuck, dovetail fixtures, and other modular options. The System 96 interface delivers high versatility and fast changeover for a wide range of machining requirements.
For non-standard parts that could not be held using conventional workholding, we also manufactured a dedicated sub-plate. The top side was drilled and tapped M12 for direct part mounting, while the underside was drilled, tapped, and counterbored to accept System 96 studs, allowing direct mounting onto the dual zero-point plate. The sub-plate was machined from tool steel, through-hardened, and precision ground to ensure high rigidity, flatness, and long-term dimensional stability.
